On Saturday September 14, the athletes and those who helped make the Paris 2024 Games a success, will be honored during a free grand parade on the Champs-Elysées, broadcast on France Télévisions.
If the Paris Games remain so engraved in our memories, it's thanks to them: the Phryge, the athletes and the volunteers. Does the mention of these names evoke a whiff of nostalgia? It's only natural: each in their own way, they left their mark on the Paris Games. For nostalgic fans who want to immerse themselves in the madness of the Games for one last time, join us on Saturday, September 14 on the Avenue des Champs-Elysées.
French champions to gather together
Expected athletes and para-athletes include Léon Marchand and the Portal brothers, reunited for the first time after their respective exploits in the Paris La Défense Arena pool. After shaking up the Stade de France, Timothée Adolphe and Gloria Agblemagnon will also be taking part, as will judoka Teddy Riner and para-judoka Sandrine Martinet, as well as Cassandre Beaugrand and Alexis Hanquinquant, both winners of individual triathlon and para-triathlon events.
This is the first time that Olympic and Paralympic athletes will parade and be decorated together in public. The route will be punctuated by the famous notes of the song Parade, unveiled at the arrival of the Flame in Marseille on May 8, and (finally) available on music platforms from Friday September 13.
After the parade, an exceptional awards ceremony
The Olympic and Paralympic medal winners will receive their Republican decorations in public for the very first time at 6.30pm. The ceremony will take place at the foot of the Arc de Triomphe.
A concert to end on a high note
After the parade, the festivities will continue with an exceptional concert on the Place de l'Etoile. Many of the renowned artists who left their mark on the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games ceremonies will be on hand to offer a festive moment that promises to be unique.
Live broadcast on France Télévisions
The event is open to all and free of charge, with registration via the
parade.paris2024.org platform.
**Registrations are already closed, but it will be possible to follow the parade live on France Televisions**.
