After an exceptionally eventful 2025 in terms of sporting events, will Paris be able to do as well in 2026? It's off to a good start, with many events already marked in its calendar.
February 14: Celebrating love at Jean-Bouin Stadium
Tired of Valentine's Day? It's time to (literally) drop everything and head to Jean-Bouin (16th arrondissement). On February 14, Stade Français welcomes the other Stade, the one from Toulouse, with all its stars (including Antoine Dupont). A prestigious match not to be missed!
March 8: We give strength to the runners
Here's someone who doesn't do things by halves. In 2025, during the previous edition, nearly 48,000 people gathered at the starting line to tackle the 21.0975 km of the famous Paris Half Marathon. In 2026, the craze is not about to subside (registration is already closed!). Whether you're a runner or just an admirer, this race remains one of the most impressive to follow in the capital.
March 27 to 29: synchronized swimming takes place in the 20th
From March 27 to 29, 2026, the cream of artistic swimming will gather at the Georges Vallerey swimming pool (20th arrondissement) for the World Cup! This is a rare opportunity to take part in a must-see event and cheer on the French team as they face stiff international competition in front of a home crowd ready to cheer them on!
March 28 and 29: Celebrating 100 years of the Harlem Globetrotters
For a century now, the whimsical basketball players from Chicago (despite what their name suggests) have been traveling the globe, putting on spectacular performances. In 2026, to mark their 100th anniversary, the troupe is organizing an incredible world tour that will, of course, include Paris!
April 12: We cheer on the marathon runners
It's a date to mark with a white stone. On April 12, 60,000 people will take to the streets of the capital for the49th edition of the Paris Marathon! The largest running event in France, the event is also a must-see in the sporting calendar of the City of Light.
June 13 and 14: marvel at sumo wrestling matches
We've been waiting thirty years for this. On June 13 and 14, for the first time since 1995, the Accor Arena (12th arrondissement) will host a sumo tournament. These wrestlers from Japan are true stars and will compete in spectacular matches. June 26: A glimpse of the Paris 2024 Games
As it does every summer, the Charléty Stadium (13th arrondissement) hosts the (highly) anticipated Paris Meeting. The eighth stage of the prestigious Diamond League, this gathering is an opportunity to see athletes from around the world and cheer on the many French competitors taking part in the various events.
September 26 and 27: We marvel at the gymnasts' feats
They're back! At the end of September, the French International Gymnastics Championships will be setting up shop at the Accor Arena (12th arrondissement). As every year, the world's best gymnasts will be gathering for two days of intense competition and exceptional performances that are not to be missed!
