This year, the traditional National Day fireworks display will not take place on July 14, but on July 13, 2026. This minor change in the schedule won’t stop you from enjoying—for free and outdoors—the spectacular show that’s in the works! Here’s a selection of the best spots to hang out with friends or family.
To watch the show from beneath the tracks
It is undoubtedly one of the most famous bridges in Paris. With its row of columns and two levels, allowing both pedestrians and the metro to connect the Left Bank to the Right Bank, the Bir-Hakeim Bridge is a must-see in the capital. It’s also one of the best spots to stop and admire the Eiffel Tower (7th arrondissement)—and, of course, the fireworks: the bridge juts out over the Seine, offering a superb view of the Iron Lady ! And if you’d like to spice up your evening a bit, you can also admire the show from… inside a train car. To do so, simply take Line 6 toward Charles de Gaulle-Étoile, and be sure to keep your eyes peeled between the Bir-Hakeim and Passy stations. A magical moment awaits!

To get a bird's-eye view
It was voted one of the coolest streets in the capital in 2024! With its bars and restaurants, Rue de Belleville (20th arrondissement) is a place you’ll want to stop and explore. The view of the Eiffel Tower it offers is worth the detour—and, above all, the effort it takes to walk up the street… But we recommend continuing down the street to Rue Piat to reach the Willy-Ronis observation deck, which overlooks Belleville Park. That’s where one of the best views of the City of Light is hidden, offering a breathtaking perspective.

For an iconic view
It is certainly one of Paris’s most iconic landmarks. Located at the top of Montmartre Hill, at an elevation of 130 meters, the Sacré-Cœur Basilica (18th arrondissement) and its famous staircase offer a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower and, consequently, of its traditional fireworks display on July 13.

How about watching the National Day fireworks while comfortably seated in the heart of a forest right in the middle of Paris? The brand-new Place de Catalogne (14th arrondissement), recently landscaped, offers a bucolic setting with benches facing the Eiffel Tower. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy the show!

For a 180-degree view
What if, after all, the best way to admire the City of Light and its fireworks were to get a little further away? Head to Suresnes (Hauts-de-Seine) and Mont-Valérien, which rises to over 160 meters and offers a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower.
