L'Orchestre Vintage offers a unique way of reviving the image of the ball, with a French and international repertoire of poetic, danceable songs, and artistic excellence in vocal and instrumental interpretation, reminiscent of the simplicity and conviviality of the bals musette and bals populaires of yesteryear. Their repertoire revisits the great classics of 20th-century French dance song, in the purest tradition of the bal des faubourgs, including : Fréhel, Edith Piaf, Charles Trénet, Joséphine Baker, Yves Montand, Charles Aznavour, Jeanne Moreau, Claude Nougaro, Bobby Lapointe, Serge Gainsbourg … And for the more experienced dancers, an international repertoire covering the worlds of bossa, bolero, charleston, gypsy jazz, swing, rock, etc…
The Musiques Itinérantes association programs traveling musical events (bandas, batucadas, fanfares), public balls and world music concerts, mainly for local authorities in the Ile-de-France region, with a strong focus on women's orchestras. In particular, the association produced the event commemorating the Liberation of Paris at the Luxembourg Gardens, the Liberation Ball in Montreuil, as well as a number of public balls for certain Paris arrondissement town halls.
