In the spring of 2024, Paris will live to the rhythm of an exceptional and abundant cultural program for all and sundry, which the City of Paris has entrusted to internationally renowned artists such as Mohammed El Khatib, Benjamin Millepied and Raymond Depardon. From April onwards, the artists will take over Parisian public spaces for festive and popular events. In addition to these major federative events, the City of Paris will be setting up festivity sites in every arrondissement throughout the summer, hosting a wide range of cultural events to get Parisians and visitors from all over the world moving to the rhythm of the Games.
To mark the Fête de la Musique 2024 and the Cultural Olympiad, the Orchestre de chambre de Paris is presenting a participatory and inclusive gala concert on the Hôtel de Ville's plaza. The concert will bring together internationally renowned artists for a concert, they will then be joined by young musicians from various Parisian music schools. They will join the orchestra on the forecourt to perform excerpts from Bizet's Carmen and the finale of Beethoven's 9th symphony for a scenic finale to mark the 200th anniversary of this European and universal emblem of fraternity.
