Throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the 8th arrondissement town hall welcomes you to share in the Games' spirit at Parc Monceau. The lineup, featuring around 250 sporting and cultural events, is family-friendly, offering activities for all ages, from toddlers to seniors.
Heat wave
This festive site is equipped with misters (activated according to heat) and water fountains.
Come and watch the unprecedented opening ceremony on the Seine (July 26), the 100m final (August 4) and the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games (August 11) on a big screen. The opening ceremony of France's first Paralympic Summer Games will also be broadcast live from Place de la Concorde on August 28, and the closing ceremony on September 8.
Numerous introductory sports courses are offered throughout the summer, in partnership with 8th arrondissement associations and the 8th arrondissement municipal sports office. In particular, you can try your hand at the Olympic and Paralympic sports taking place in the district, including fencing, taekwondo and urban board sports.
Culture is not to be outdone, with 5 concerts from the French scene (Jeanne Balibar, Maëlle, Chien Noir), open-air cinema sessions and opera broadcasts.
Borough children enrolled in summer leisure centers will also benefit from activities in the idyllic setting of Parc Monceau.
