Bathing at La Villette

Swimming at the Bassin de la Villette will be open to everyone, every day, free of charge and in a safe environment: lifeguards keep an eye on bathers of all age groups. Bathing water quality is constantly monitored on a daily basis.

The bathing area is limited to 500 people per day to ensure optimum water quality.

This public bathing area in a natural environment is organized on a floating structure 16 meters wide and 100 meters long, divided into three distinct areas: two paddling pools for children (under the supervision of an accompanying adult) with a maximum depth of 40 cm; a small pool with a maximum depth of 1.20 meters ; and a large pool reserved for experienced swimmers with a depth of 2 meters.

In addition to safe swimming areas, sports and leisure activities are also on offer:

• Trampoline (ages 6 to 14)
• Table soccer and pétanque (all ages) with challenges rewarded with goodies
  
• Basketball shooting (initiation and challenges) - all ages
