The Champs-Élysées holiday lights will be turned on Sunday, November 22. Who’s in charge? A world-famous patron…the actress Cate Blanchett !
A magical moment! As it does every year, the Champs-Élysées (8th arrondissement) will be decked out in its holiday lights for over a month (through January 4). The lights will be turned on on Sunday, November 22, at 6:30 p.m., by actress Cate Blanchett—patron of the event— as well as the Petits Princes association and the band Feu! Chatterton.
The lights, spread across nearly 400 trees, will turn on every day at 5 p.m. and turn off at midnight on weekdays and at 1 a.m. on weekends. Except on December 24 and 31, when they’ll twinkle all night long!
This year's event, continuing the tradition of previous years, promises a golden and sparkling Champs-Élysées, with reduced energy consumption and 100% LED lighting.
