Mise à jour le 13/03/2018
This 15,000m² space, opened in November 2015, incubate and support startups specialised in the digital and creative industries in Paris
Poised to become one of the largest incubators in Europe and a symbol of digital ambition in Paris, CARGO is a meeting place for entrepreneurs, researchers, artists, students and social actors, as well as all those supporting cultural and digital expansion in Paris and worldwide.
This initiative is the result of cooperation between the City of Paris, the Ile-de-France region and RIVP, who have invested €15.2 million, €9 million and €39.3 million respectively.
The 15,000m² building that house the incubator has been specifically designed to offer specialised working conditions for startups and to allow the emergence and acceleration of innovative young companies. It comprises vast co-working spaces, bright and fully equipped meeting rooms, a central patio, greened walls, balconies, and two cafeterias.
The property, a converted warehouse located in the north-east of Paris between Porte de la Villette and Porte d’Aubervilliers, intersects both Paris and Seine-Saint-Denis. Thanks to this favourable geographical context, CARGO work closely with local entities such as the Plaine-Commune's Territoire de la Création, Média Grand Paris, the Cité des Sciences, the Philharmonie de Paris, the 104 cultural centre, and many other cultural, musical and innovative projects concentrated in the north-east of Paris.
