Nuit Blanche, a celebration of contemporary art on Saturday October 3

Saturday 3rd October 2009 sees the return of Nuit Blanche, a celebration of contemporary art from 7 p.m. until dawn. This year, the event is set to focus on three of Paris’ districts: the Buttes-Chaumont, situated to the north-east, the centre of Paris (Marais, Châtelet, etc.) and the quartier latin on the left bank.
It is the perfect opportunity to discover artistic talents from France and abroad, free of charge. A magical night not to be missed! Widely considered to be a resounding success, the event has taken hold in cities such as Bucharest, Madrid, Miami, Montreal, Bologna and Brussels. Saturday 3rd October 2009 sees the return of Nuit Blanche, a celebration of contemporary art from 7 p.m. until dawn. The three trails (Buttes-Chaumont, the centre of Paris and the quartier latin) are connected throughout the night by a project, created in partnership with the RATP, on metro line 11 and the bandstand in the Luxembourg gardens.
