Celebrate Bastille Day in Paris
|
The skies over Paris will be ablaze with colour to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the Eiffel Tower on Bastille Day. There will be a huge free concert on the Champ de Mars, the customary military parade on the Champs-Elysées with special guests from India, traditional balls organised by the fire brigades and a ball on the Place de la Bastille... Experience all the entertainment on offer on the 14 July for Bastille Day in Paris.
It’s a national day of celebration for all Parisians. Don’t miss Bastille Day if you are visiting Paris!
From the 13 July at the Bastille
Two stages located at the Colonne de Juillet on the Place de la Bastille will provide a choice of two musical themes. These concerts are organised on the very spot where the French Revolution began on 14 July 1789…

14 July: military parade
India is France’s guest of honour
On the programme for the 14 July military parade are three detachments from the Indian army, navy and air force - 450 soldiers in national uniform with their military bands.
Nearly one hundred aircraft will take to the skies over Paris, including Rafale fighter planes and the Patrouille de France aerobatic display team, and there will also be a parachute drop just in front of the VIP stand.
To round off the parade, there will be a display by the lancers of the cavalry regiment of the Republican Guard, which will fill the most beautiful avenue in the world.

A one-off free concert by the French singer Johnny Hallyday at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.

Bastille Day firework display
The Eiffel Tower is celebrating its 120th anniversary with a huge firework display. It can be seen from the Champ de Mars and surrounding area and the fireworks launched from the tower itself look set to be extraordinary. Don’t miss it!
14 July at 10.30/10.45pm for approximately 30 minutes.

13 and 14 July: dance with the fire brigade
The Paris fire brigade is organising its traditional balls to celebrate Bastille Day. Forty fire stations will open their doors to the people of Paris and neighbouring départements on 13 and 14 July. From 9pm to 4am.
