On 21 June, enjoy free concerts in all public places, streets, gardens, squares, etc. It is a musical start to summer in Paris and throughout France. But how can you play without breaking the law?
Paris Cinéma festival is one of the Parisian Summer highlights – and a City of Paris initiative to promote what we call the septième art in the city of light. The feature-packed programme includes literally hundreds of screenings, French and international film stars, and a different country as the event’s guest of honour every year. The first night-time trail through the streets of Paris and its contemporary-art scene took place on 5 October 2002, and the opportunity for anyone to explore artistic creation for a night has come back every year since (usually in October). Discover Nuit Blanche (Sleepness night)... Free entrance.
Parisian museums also come to life one night a year, and night-time revellers flock to them. This version of a Night at the Museum takes place every May.
This cultural-year highlight brings an opportunity to spend a weekend in September visiting an endless variety of well-known (but usually off-bounds) and outright unusual historical monuments.
