Civil records: how to make an online request

Marriage, birth or death certificate…You can request a copy of civil records via Paris.fr. The request will be sent directly to the district town hall in question.
This is a very useful service when you find yourself far from Paris and from France. The certificate request is secured and the exchanges are kept confidential (SSL encrypting).
To be able to carry out search of the civil records in Paris, the person in question (French national, foreigner or stateless person) must have been born, married or deceased in Paris.
Note: the domicile of a natural person is not sufficient evidence for carrying out a search in the Paris civil records.
