Thanks to the “Parisien d’un jour” (Parisian for a day) association, discover the districts of the French capital with one of its residents! The walks are free of charge, but you can make a donation to the association if you wish to do so.

The “Ca se visite” (Visit it) association offers themed walks in Paris. These can be done on foot or by scooter, in the company of a guide. It is an original way of discovering the Saint-Martin Canal, La Villette, the Oberkampf area, the Le Marais district, etc.
The secrets of the passages
Stroll along the passages of Paris; these galleries with their glass roofs still retain their 19th century atmosphere and house a wealth of eclectic boutiques: Passage Grand-Cerf (2nd district), Passages des Panoramas (2nd), Jouffroy and Verdeau (9th), etc.
Along the water
The “Water journeys” allow visitors to rediscover the capital and its districts using water as a guide: the Maison du Fontainier (Fountain Keeper’s House), the Sources du Nord (Northern water sources) and the main storage warehouses. Following the cinema trail
Paris hosts more than 800 film crews every year. Take the walks proposed by the Mission Cinéma de la Ville de Paris (City of Paris Cinema Department) and immerse yourself in the places and districts which have served as backdrops. In English and French. Free.
Free roller skating trips are organised in Paris every week. The Sunday afternoon trip, which is suitable for the whole family, leaves from Place de la Bastille at 2.30pm More info

The Paris Rando Vélo (Paris Bike Ride) association organises a free bike ride around the streets of Paris every Friday evening. Meet at the Hôtel de Ville (4th) at 9.30pm. A ride is also organised every third Sunday of the month at 10.30am.
